I spent 24 years in the pharmaceutical industry, had an opportunity to retire in 2010 and started a non-profit to enhance academic achievement in middle school students utilizing peer mentors from the local high school along with college interns and adult volunteers. The organization is called "Mentors & Meals" and it is a 501c3 non-profit entity located in central Kentucky.

School Story

When I was at Churchill High School, I played clarinet in the orchestra for the musical "Mame" in 10th grade, participated in stage crew and chorus for "Brigadoon" in 11th grade and knew every line of "West Side Story" in 12th grade. My most memorable role, however, was that of a bitchy queen with big hair and very tight bodice playing opposite Bill Marchl, the long-suffering King, in the one act play, "The Ugly Duckling".
